The Tempest does what other speaking devices do, but with easier to use features, easier to see and hear voices and alerts, easy to use data logging and more!   An ITC device at it's best!

The Tempest takes live environmental readings, which are always visible on screen, and converts then to words, phrases or letters all based on these readings.   It is also an E-Field Meter and a straightforward live temp/humidity/barometric pressure and dew point meter.   All readings are logged on an optional SD card.   You control all this on a color touch screen. It does much more that other pieces of equipment that do similar things.
 
Environmental Readings    Temperature, Humidity, Dewpoint, and Barometric Pressure are Always on the top of the screen and live.   There is an option to turn on an alarm that will give a voice alert indication along with changing the temperature reading to RED when the temperature +/- reaches a range that you set.
 
NRG Speech page  The NRG speech function that will utilize the mix of environmental and E Field detection to move the internal word pointer to one of the many words or phrases, etc. that are selectable on the device.   This is not a random text generator.  The modes are:
 
10,000 most spoken English words
29,000 English Words and Phrases, 
10,000 Spanish Words
Phrases Mode
Alpha Mode
Custom SD Card Mode  (add your own words to a file on the memeory card)
REAL Voice Mode
 
The words/phrase/letters stay on the screen unless you until clear them.  Using the Clear Button, you can clear the history and Current Word Windows. 
 
E Field Page  In this mode you will see the static E Field in estimated mV/m (millivolts per meter) being detected near field to the unit.   The meter will show a visual representation on the bar graph (higher level indicated on bar graph at 200 due to exposure however the unit will measure up to 4096mv) of the measured static millivolts per meter.  (This is not a Magnetometer, but can be affected directly by fluctuating magnetic EMF)   If you want to convert the readings to tesla or milligauss you can use conversions like this one.   We opted for E Field detection in order to eliminate some of the common sources of false positive readings from things like cell phones and WiFI.   There is an addtional probe yo u can attach to the Tempest to make the E field reader more sensitive.
 
Micro-SD Card Logging  If a microSD card is detected, All the data will logged in every 1 second.   WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND a HC class 10 or similar high speed SPI micro-SD card. Device overall performance will be impacted by using lower quality cards.
 
Internal Real Time Clock  for keeping the time even after power off. Unit will be ready within seconds of power on without having to adjust the time from the settings page!

Adjustment for temperature compensation for calibration of temperature irregularities  
 
USB battery charging and operation. Unit can be charged and/or powered by the Type C USB port on the side  of the unit. Battery level is shown on the screen to the right of the time.  The Internal Battery is a LiPo 3.7v – 500mah Battery.   Typical usage runtime is 3-5 hours.  Extend the time with a power bank or USB Wall charger!
 
Firmware is updatable! Via the micro-SD card. Simply copy the firmware file that you have downloaded to the  root of the micro-SD card and power on or reset the unit. You will see the firmware update screen if successful.   They are ports on the Tempest that allow for future added sensors and probes.   Get Updates Here
