Smudging can help combat negativity in a home, clear the energy in your field, and allows you to start with a clean slate. Smudging is an ancient ceremony in which you burn sacred plants, such as sage, to allow the smoke to clear and bless a space.
 
The most commonly used smudge is California White Sage because it burns evenly and consistently and is said to have the best results in spiritually cleansing a space. Light the end of the smudge stick with a lighter, candle, or matches then blow on until fire is extinguished. It will then begin to smoke and smolder. Hold over a firesafe dish and carrying through the house.
 
Palo Santo is known as “holy wood’ and is derived from very specific trees in Peru. Monks will allow the trees to grow to their full age of 80-90 years at which point they await the tree to fall and preserve the trunk for another 2-5 years allowing the essential oils to infuse into the hard wood.

The burning of Palo Santo has been used to purify energies, in ceremony to protect from negative energies, bring clarity + healing to our spiritual body, and make way for us to connect with our higher purpose in meditation.
