What's the difference between wide spectrum and full spectrum? Wide Spectrum cameras can only see in the ultraviolet and infrared spectrum of light. Full spectrum cameras like all the models we carry can see in from the ultraviolet into visible light into the infrared spectrum. Not all "full spectrum" illuminators give you anything more than UV and IR lights. This new Full Spectrum illuminator has 6 UV LEDs, 6 IR LEDs and to give you coverage in the visible light spectrum it has 3 red, 3 blue and 3 green high intensity LEDs as well.

This bright Full Spectrum light is made specifically for use with Full Spectrum cameras. The illuminator’s unique shape eliminates the spot light effect you see with many lights with a bright circle of light in the center and the rest of the areas darker. This design allows a better distribution of light and all the various lights of differing spectrums all blend together smoothly. It can be mounted on a tripod. You can also attach a hot shoe adapter for easy mounting on various camera brackets. It runs off one 9 volt battery and will last approximately 5 – 8  hours depending on the type of battery and the conditions at the location.
